A huge GTA VI mural is going up in Brooklyn
In Brooklyn, New York, painters are putting a huge mural of Grand Theft Auto VI on the side of a building. It shows Jason and Lucia with guns, between palm trees, Notebookcheck reports. Photos of it appeared on Reddit.
The wall is on the corner of Wythe Avenue and North 11th Street, in Williamsburg. Reddit user Salty_Scrotum posted a first photo on 1 October. It shows only the outlines in pencil, but the logo, Jason, Lucia and the palm trees are already recognisable. Rockstar Games has said nothing about the mural so far.

The first colour
That evening the same user shared a short video from the street. Parts of the background are already painted in colour. Much of the mural is still unfinished.
Update on the mural in Brooklyn
The same corner as GTA V
According to Notebookcheck, Rockstar used the same corner in 2013 for a mural of GTA V. That mural also appeared a few weeks before the release, as part of a wider wave of outdoor advertising in New York. Earlier GTA games were also promoted with large hand-painted walls, the site writes.
Many fans on Reddit see the mural as the start of the last phase of the marketing campaign. They hope October brings more screenshots, gameplay or a new trailer. Rockstar has announced nothing of the kind.
The mural follows the Welcome to Vice City sign on the roof of the Kaseya Center, the arena of the Miami Heat, which lit up on 1 October.
GTA VI is due on 19 November for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S.
