A Safehouse in the Hills comes to GTA Online on 10 December

GTA Online gets a new update on 10 December. A Safehouse in the Hills adds mansions in the most expensive neighbourhoods of Los Santos. The update comes to PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X and S, Xbox One and PC.

The mansions are sold by Prix Luxury Real Estate. Rockstar mentions large outdoor areas, an AI assistant for business tasks and a set of optional paid upgrades. Prices are not in the announcement.

More than property

The update also brings a new storyline about stopping a mass surveillance network. Rockstar says those missions do not require buying a property.

There are new vehicles, new law enforcement vehicles, drift variants and new freemode events. More vehicles get Missile Lock-On Jammer support, including several aircraft without weapons.

A mission creator comes to every version of GTA Online. Players can design and publish their own missions with it, and Rockstar says it has updated its policies for those tools.

What is still unknown

Rockstar names no prices, not for the mansions and not for the upgrades. How long the new storyline runs is not stated. Which familiar character returns is only hinted at, not named.
