Game Informer puts GTA VI on the cover of issue 382

Grand Theft Auto VI is on the cover of Game Informer. Issue 382 carries a cover story of 14 pages about Vice City and Leonida, with 12 new screenshots. The digital edition appears on 29 September.

The cover shows Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos in a red convertible, with the skyline of Vice City behind them. The artwork is original work by Rockstar Games, writes Game Informer, which revealed the cover on 25 September.

The full cover wraps around the magazine. On the back, the car continues to the left, with its bullet holes and a bag of banknotes behind the seat.

What the story covers

Writer Marcus Stewart, who grew up in South Florida, spoke with several lead designers at Rockstar. The story focuses on how Rockstar brought Leonida, its parody of Florida, and Vice City to life.

Game Informer names three subjects that Rockstar had not shared before. The weather systems simulate the less sunny side of Florida. Wildlife, native and not, roams Leonida on land, in the air and at sea. And the story explains how Rockstar researched Miami and Florida for the world.

When and where

The digital version appears on 29 September, according to Game Informer. The print edition reaches subscribers and bookshops in the coming weeks. A subscription covers 10 issues a year and ships to more than 50 countries. The issue is only available for a limited time, the magazine writes.

Grand Theft Auto VI appears on 19 November for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S.
