GTA V leaves PlayStation Plus two days before GTA VI arrives
Grand Theft Auto V leaves the Game Catalog of PlayStation Plus on 17 November. That is two days before Grand Theft Auto VI comes out. Sony warns players with a message on the PlayStation 5.
The message from Sony
GTA V is in the catalogue for members of PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium, on PS5 and PS4. The game stays available only until 17 November, the message says. It opens with the release of GTA VI on PS5 on 19 November.
Players who have not yet played the story of Franklin, Michael and Trevor can still do so, Sony writes. The same goes for players who want to revisit it before the story of Jason and Lucia in Vice City begins. After the message, Sony shows a prompt to pre-order GTA VI, IGN reports.
A player shared the message on Reddit.
GTA V is the first game that is leaving the catalogue on Nov 17, right before VI releases.

What changes
A game from the catalogue can no longer be played once it leaves, unless it was bought separately. That is how the catalogue of PlayStation Plus works for every game. Players who bought GTA V themselves keep it.
The message does not mention GTA Online separately. Whether players who reach GTA Online through the catalogue keep access after 17 November is not known.
Other ways to play
Members of GTA+, the subscription of Rockstar Games, can play Grand Theft Auto V through the GTA+ Games Library since June. GTA V has sold 230 million copies since its release in 2013, IGN writes.
