GTA VI actors were reportedly reminded their NDA runs until 19 November
Actors who are said to appear in GTA VI have reportedly been reminded of the non disclosure agreement they signed. They would not be allowed to name their roles before release day. The report comes from the podcast GTA VI O’Clock. Rockstar Games has not confirmed it.
The podcast says a source received an email in which the studio points out that the agreement still holds. The quoted line reads: “We would like to remind everyone to please remember your NDA. The date you may announce your involvement is still November 19th.” Dexerto passed the report on, and IGN after that.
The message cannot be checked independently. Whether Rockstar sent these emails at all is therefore not established. The source believes it went to everyone who performed for the game and not only to the leads.
Why the timing fits
Stephen Root confirmed to the Associated Press last week that he is heard in GTA VI. He is so far the only actor to have said so himself. Rockstar has never published a cast list.
Actor Stephen Root has broken his NDA confirming that he is playing Brian Heder in GTA 6.
That Root spoke was probably not a complete surprise to the studio. Fans had recognised his voice long before. Root is known for King of the Hill, where he voices Bill Dauterive and Buck Strickland. According to the actor the secret was out the moment his character was heard in earlier GTA VI material: too many people knew his voice from that series, he told Dexerto.
Root said only that he is in the game. He did not name Brian Heder, the character fans have long believed he plays. That link is drawn from his voice and from the material released so far. Rockstar has not confirmed the casting either.
Jason and Lucia are still unnamed
Around the two leads it stays remarkably quiet. The names heard most often are Manni L. Perez for Lucia and Dylan Rourke for Jason. Perez has denied the rumours about her involvement. Rourke has said nothing publicly as far as is known.

Neither has been named by Rockstar as part of the cast. A large official cast reveal before release now looks unlikely. If the studio holds the secrecy to the end, there will be one place where the full cast is certain, and that is the credits.
That does not have to be the end of it for the actors. The voice cast of GTA V grew into familiar faces within the community in the years after release. Ned Luke, who plays Michael De Santa, still streams and plays the game regularly.
