GTA VI delivers your car through an app called Scooter Bros
In Grand Theft Auto VI, players can have one of their own cars delivered with a phone app. The app is called Scooter Bros, the magazine Edge writes. For a small fee, someone brings the car within seconds and leaves on a scooter.
IGN calls the app Scooter Brothers. The details come from the preview of GTA VI in the November issue of Edge.
A nod to GTA IV
The name refers to a well-known video from 2008, IGN writes. On the channel FourPlayerPodcast on Justin.tv, now Twitch, Brad Simons rode a moped through Liberty City in GTA IV. Simons kept calling another moped rider a “scooter brother”.
The video has more than 7.5 million views on YouTube. GTA V already nodded to it: after switching to Trevor, players could sometimes see Trevor act out the moment with a frightened passer-by.
Weapons in the boot
The whole arsenal is stored in the boot of the car, according to Edge. Calling up a car is therefore also the quick way to the weapons.
During a robbery, there is no time for a delivery. Players then leave a getaway car around the corner, or take a passing car. That car may have a tracker, and the driver may be armed, Edge writes.
Single-player GTA has never had a way to call up a car without cheats, IGN notes. GTA Online has had one since its launch.
Fuel and engine damage
Every vehicle has a fuel gauge and a display of engine health, according to Edge. Cars can drive a long way before fuel runs low, and refuelling is a short stop.
What a delivery costs is not known. Whether the riders on the scooter say anything is not known either. How stealing cars with trackers works was already in the coverage by Game Informer.
