GTA VI pre-orders open worldwide

Pre-orders for Grand Theft Auto VI are open. They started at midnight local time on 25 June, so the moment differs by country. Alongside the standard edition there is an Ultimate Edition with extra vehicles, weapons and clothing. Rockstar says that content is threaded through the whole story.

Everyone who orders or buys before 20 November receives a bonus pack that Rockstar describes as items looking back at the neon era of the series.

Pre-loading and the boxed version

Whoever pre-orders a digital version can start downloading on 12 November, a week before release. Rockstar says this is meant to make sure the game is playable on 19 November.

The boxed version also appears on 12 November and contains a download code rather than a disc. Buying it therefore gives the same pre-load window and the same download.

What is not said

Rockstar does not state how much disk space the game needs. Prices are not in the announcement either; they differ per store and per country.

There is a free month of GTA+ with digital pre-orders. Whether that month starts at purchase or at release is not stated.

Grand Theft Auto VI is a single player game and comes to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S on 19 November.
