An extended look at GTA VI arrives on 27 August

Rockstar shows new footage of Grand Theft Auto VI on Thursday 27 August. The video is called An Extended Look and premieres on Netflix at 15.00 in New York, which is 21.00 in Belgium.

This is the first time new footage of a game debuts on a paid streaming service. Who wants to see it first therefore needs a Netflix subscription. Whoever does not, waits six hours. It comes to the Rockstar YouTube channel and the official site at 3.00 the next morning.

What Rockstar does not say

The announcement gives no running time and no description of the content. Whether the video shows actual gameplay is not stated. Up to now Rockstar has released two trailers and no gameplay footage at all.

The studio also does not say why the premiere runs through Netflix, or whether more of these videos will follow.

The release

Grand Theft Auto VI comes to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S on 19 November. Rockstar has confirmed the game is single player at release and has said nothing about an online version.
