Rockstar officially supports the nopixel V roleplay server
Rockstar is officially supporting nopixel V, a roleplay server for Grand Theft Auto V. The closed beta starts on 8 September and runs through the Rockstar Games Launcher. Rockstar calls it the next evolution of the GTAV Roleplay community.
GTA Roleplay turns Grand Theft Auto V into a community-run version of Los Santos. Players create their own characters and tell their own stories in a shared world. A player-run police force keeps the criminals in check.
What nopixel V changes
The server has a reworked character customisation system, according to Rockstar. New parts of the city include the Pixel Hotel and Casino and a rebuilt six-block stretch of Cypress Flats. Rockstar also mentions refreshed visuals, more ways to earn money on both sides of the law, and pedestrians that react more.
Watching streamers play nopixel V on Twitch between 8 and 30 September earns Twitch Drops. Those include the Burger Shot Tracksuit and GTA$1,500,000 in GTA Online.
What is still unknown
Rockstar does not say who gets into the closed beta or how many players it holds. When the server opens to everyone is not stated either. The announcement mentions later updates, including a new in-game overlay for PC, but gives no dates.
