GTA Online opens the Mission Creator to players
Rockstar has opened the Mission Creator to GTA Online players. The tool lets anyone build missions across Los Santos and Blaine County and share them. Missions can be made for up to eight players at a time.
Old School Hits was made by GTA Series Videos and is inspired by the original Grand Theft Auto trilogy. It is the first entry in a new series of featured player creations on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, and PC in the Enhanced version. The first featured creation, Old School Hits, goes live on 30 April.
What the tool does
Creators can set objectives, control how NPCs behave, and use locations that were previously off limits. Rockstar names the deck of the USS Luxington aircraft carrier, the Cluckin’ Bell factory and several banks.
The Creator is reached through the pause menu, under Online, Rockstar Creator, Create a Mission. Five Rockstar-made missions are included as worked examples and can be opened in the editor to see how they were built.
Getting featured
Missions tagged for consideration can be picked up for a future Community Series. Rockstar pays a one-time bonus of 10 million GTA$ to creators whose mission is featured, along with a jacket for the in-game wardrobe.
Rockstar says more community missions will follow later in the year.
