The extended look at GTA VI is out now
Rockstar has released Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look. The video is available on Netflix, on YouTube and on the official Grand Theft Auto VI site. Rockstar says the footage was captured entirely in-game on a PlayStation 5. The game is due on 19 November.
The studio announced the video three weeks earlier and kept to the date it gave then. The Netflix showing came first, the other platforms followed the same evening.
What Rockstar says about the footage
The company states that nothing in the video is a rendered cutscene made outside the game. That is a claim worth noting, because the material shows the state of Leonida in more detail than the two trailers did.
Rockstar gives no running time, no list of what is shown and no technical details in its own announcement. The frame rate is not mentioned either.
What is still unknown
How much of the video is playable and how much is scripted is not stated. Whether the footage runs on a standard PlayStation 5 or on the Pro is not mentioned. Rockstar also says nothing about a version for PC.
Grand Theft Auto VI comes to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S on 19 November. The game is single player at release.
