The Miami Heat become Vice City on the eve of GTA VI

The Miami Heat play as Vice City on 18 November, the eve of the release of Grand Theft Auto VI. The game against the Milwaukee Bucks gets its own court and a new uniform. The club announced it on its website.

The Heat call the evening “A Night in Vice City”. The club describes it as a historic partnership and an event that has never been done before. Tip-off at the Kaseya Center is at 7 PM local time. In Belgium and the Netherlands that is 1 AM on 19 November, the day GTA VI comes out.

ESPN and local channel WPLG Local 10 show the game on television. On the radio it runs on 560 WQAM and on the Spanish-language Radio Mambí 710 AM. Tickets are sold through Ticketmaster. On the page of the Heat, the venue is listed as Kaseya Center - Vice City.

The image at the top is a still from a drone video on the same page. It shows the arena at night, with “Welcome to Vice City VI” on the roof and pink light around the entrance. That sign was first switched on on 1 October.

A court for one night

The Heat play on hardwood built specially for Vice City, for one night only. The club so far only shows a blurred preview in pink light. What the floor looks like is not yet known.

Inside the Kaseya Center there will also be special activities, starting on Opening Night, the first home game of the season. More follow on 18 November itself. The Heat promise more details later and do not yet say what the activities are.

A new uniform

For the night the Heat wear a new, completely reimagined uniform. It has not been shown yet. The page only has the silhouette of a player against a pink background, with a sign-up for the moment the uniform is revealed. The title of the page calls it the 2026-27 Vice City Edition uniform.

The Heat have worn uniforms called Vice since the 2017-18 season. They are inspired by the 1980s television series Miami Vice, with neon pink and blue.

The Vice City collection

A clothing line is already on sale. The Court Culture Vice City collection is available in the Heat store at the Kaseya Center and online. Court Culture is the clothing label of the Heat. The neck label of the shirts carries the GTA VI logo next to that of the Heat.

The night follows the “Welcome to Vice City” sign on the roof of the Kaseya Center. Rockstar Games pays 975,000 dollar for it, around 840,000 euro, to Miami-Dade County, which owns the arena. Whether Rockstar also pays for the game night is not stated on the page.

The page of the Heat ends with a drone video of the skyline of Miami at dusk.
