A fan in Brazil gets a GTA VI poster after a polite email
A fan in Brazil says Rockstar Games sent them an official poster of GTA VI. The fan had simply asked for one in an email. The poster came from the New York office of Rockstar, according to a post on Reddit.
Reddit user aogustoo shared the story at the end of September, IGN reports. The email was a shot in the dark, according to the post. It said how much the fan looked forward to GTA VI and asked for a poster for their room.
The fan expected an automated reply or no answer at all. Instead an executive replied and shipped the poster to Brazil, the post says. Who that executive is, is not known.
I sent a shot-in-the-dark email to Rockstar Games asking for a GTA VI poster, and they actually shipped one from their NYC office!
Names blurred
The photos show the poster and the emails that were sent. All names, addresses and email addresses are blurred to protect their privacy, aogustoo writes. The fan asks others not to flood the inbox with requests. In the fan’s view, it was a rare act of kindness by one person in the team.
It cannot be confirmed that Rockstar really sent the poster, IGN notes. A reaction from Rockstar is not known.
Content creator Videotech called it “a massive W” on X. The fan is no influencer and no celebrity, just a random fan, Videotech wrote.
Rockstar also sells a poster of its own. A double-sided poster with the map of Leonida is part of the Vice City collector’s box.
GTA VI appears on 19 November for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S.
