The GTA VI score by Justice arrives on 11 December
Grand Theft Auto VI: Original Score arrives on 11 December on all major streaming services. It also comes on double CD and triple vinyl that day. The French electronic duo Justice made the music. A new track, “Pusher”, is out now.
Rockstar Games announced the date on 29 October, IGN writes. The score comes three weeks after the game and after Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album, the soundtrack with songs by other artists.
Thirty tracks and three hours
The score holds 30 tracks and a number of digital bonus tracks, about three hours of music from the game. The bonus tracks are part of every format. The vinyl comes in standard black and in a limited crystal clear edition.
The single “Flower in a Hurricane”, with Tame Impala, SZA and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, is on it too. Justice released it with the launch trailer. It reached number 62 in the Billboard Hot 100.
Pusher with Gesaffelstein
“Pusher” gives a first taste of the instrumental side of the score. It is the first collaboration between Justice and Gesaffelstein, another French electronic artist.
Music that reacts to play
Justice is Gaspard Augé and Xavier de Rosnay. The duo worked closely with Rockstar, and the score adapts to what happens in the game. The game is so broad in places and themes that the music had to cover many emotions, genres and textures, de Rosnay says.
Prices for the CD and the vinyl are not known. Grand Theft Auto VI comes out on 19 November for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S.
